Everyone has a blog these days. I follow a couple, like Cake Wrecks and Once a Month Mom. A few of my friends have blogs where periodically they share their wit and what's going on with their day. I drop in from time to time to read their posts, to see what's going on with them and enjoy their writing. I didn't think I'd start a blog. I'm a new mom, I don't have enough time to do the things I have to do, I'm kind of boring and every time I've started a journal it lies around for months between entries. Besides, I'm such an unfocused person I don't have anything consistent to blog about anyway.
And then about here, it struck me what I could blog about.
I am queen of the random project. I could chronicle the things I'm working on in a blog instead of just posting occasional pictures of them on Facebook. I could share my lessons learned with the blogosphere and maybe help someone out. And maybe, eventually, I could look at my collection of posts and see that I really do get things finished occasionally.
So here is the starting point.
The project above is a cart seat cover. Well, it will be in a few days anyway. My little girl is sitting up pretty securely on her own now, and the car seat is getting really heavy to hoist on and off the shopping cart. So, once this is finished she can go shopping in style! I wish I had taken pictures of it in progress, but from now on I can take them and know they have a purpose other than collecting dust in my hard drive.
I'll check back in with more pictures and details when it's finished. It's late and I have an early morning tomorrow.
